Lync CU4 18. Nov 2011

Lange erwartet wurde das CU4, da hiermit endlich die Basis auf dem Server geschaffen wurde, dass die mobilen Clients sich an Lync anbinden könne

Wichtig: Der Server Update Installer muss als "Administrator" gestartet werden, wenn auf dem Windows 2008 Server "User Account Control" aktiv ist. Auf einem Frontend Server, der vorher CU3HF5 hatte, werden folgende Updates angemahnt.

Sie sehen aber auch an dem KB-Artikel "2493736 Updates for Lync Server 2010", dass nicht alle Komponenten neu sind. sondern einige schon früher gefixt wurden. Neu sind:

Mit dem CU sind schon die ersten Parameter für die spätere Anbindung von mobilen Endgeräten sichtbar. Die Einrichtung beschreibe ich auf Lync 2010 Mobile.

Lync 2010 CU3 HF5 Oktober 2011

Die Schritte der Updates werden wohl immer kleiner. Nun sind wir immer noch bei "CU3" aber Hotfix 5.

Lync 2010 RTM CU3 + September 2011

Etwas außer der Reihe gibt es ein Update, welches Exchange 2010 UM Probleme fixt

Interessanterweise sind die Build Nummern fast zum CU3 passend.

Lync 2010 RTM CU3 (Jul 2011)

Ende Juli 2011 hat Microsoft das Update CU3 released. Das CU3 ersetzt alle vorherigen Updates, d.h. kann direkt nach der Installation von Lync RTM installiert werden

Lync 2010 RTM CU2 (April 2011)

Fast passend zu Ostern gibt es das nächste Update für Lync Server, Clients und Telefone.

Download und Installation des LyncServerupdateInstaller.exe (20,2MB) auf dem Server reicht aus.

Hinweis:
Das CU2 enthält neben Groupchat nur Update der Clients. Um die Lync Server zu aktualisieren, ist also das vorherige CU1 für Server anzuwenden.

Die Updates für die Backend Server reichte ich nach, sobald die Links funktionieren. Eine Änderung betrifft die Aries (Aastra/Polycom) Telefone: In vorherigen Versionen sind die Funktionen zur Weiterleitung im Telefon "verschwunden", wenn keine PIN-Richtlinie eingerichtet war.

Lync 2010 RTM CU1 (20. Jan)

Es scheint sich das gleiche Intervall einzustellen, wie bei den Exchange Rollups und den OCS Updates, da knapp 3 Monate nach RTM das erste Hotfix erscheint.

Die Installation auf dem Server läuft in wenigen Sekunden durch und stoppt und startet die entsprechenden Dienste. So schnell war schon lange kein Windows Produkt mehr im patchen. Anscheinend werden wirklich nur ein paar Dateien ausgetauscht.
