Attendant Console

Die Attendant Console ist ein alternativer Clients zum OCS Communicator und ist primär für Vermittlungsplätze vorgesehen, die sehr einfach OCS-Gespräche vermitteln sollen. Aber es kann auch durchaus ein Client für Personen sein, die mehrere "Leitungen" belegen oder deren Kontakteliste so groß ist, dass der normale Communicator unübersichtlich wird. Sie erkennen die Attendant Console am grünlich eingefärbten Icon.

Am rechten Rand sind meine eigenen Gruppen als auch die Standardgruppen angezeigt. Mit einem Mausklick kann ich so ähnlich wie bei Karteikarten sehr schnell zwischen verschiedenen Firmenbereichen (Bei mir Vertrieb, Technik, Business Solution und Federation) umschalten.

Die mittlere Spalte zeigt dann die Kontakte in der Gruppe an. Hier gibt es vier verschiedene Ansichten, die entweder mehr Informationen anzeigen oder mehr Kontakt konzentriert anzeigen. Neben der Detailansicht im oberen Fenster gibt es noch folgende Ansichten.

An vielen Stellen erscheinen unter der Mausposition entsprechende Tooltipps. Beide OCS Clients können zeitgleich auf einem PC installiert werden. Allerdings kann man wohl immer nur den Communicator oder die Attendant Console starten aber nicht beide gleichzeitig.

Um die Attendant Console zu beschreiben müsste ich eigentlich ein Video mit mehreren Teilnehmern aufzeichnen. Sehr viel Funktionen sind per Drag&Drop oder Kontext Menüs zu erreichen, welche sich sonst nur mit sehr vielen Bildern dokumentieren lässt. Aber das haben schon viele andere gemacht, so dass ich mir das hier erspare.

Da bleibt ihnen nur schnell mal selbst die Attendant Console herunter zu laden und zu installieren

Attendant Console und Outlook

Mit der Installation der Attendant Console auf einem PC ändert sich auch ein Stück weit die Outlook Integration. Da Sie die Attendant Console nie parallel zum Office Communicator betreiben können, aber die Outlook Integration weiterhin erhalten bleiben soll, addiert die Attendant Console einen Schlüssel in der Registrierung

Leider hat dies den unschönen Nebeneffekt, dass damit der normale OCS-Status nicht mehr in Outlook angezeigt wird. Wer also von der Attendant Console wieder auf den Communicator zurückwechselt, sollte diesen Schlüssel einfach löschen.

Attendant Console und Bindungen

Anscheinend ist die Attendant Console ein sehr "einnehmendes" Wesen. Immer wenn ich die Konsole gestartet hatte, wurden die Verknüpfungen für  TEL, CALLTO, IM, CONF und andere auf die Attendant Console verbogen. Sehr unschön, da der Communicator das beim Start nicht merkt und auch nicht zurück stellt. Wenn Sie den Communicator im Standardpfad installiert haben, dann sollte der Import folgender Datei per REGEDIT die Verhältnisse wieder gerade rücken.
